Aastha Gill is an Indian singer and songwriter. She was born on 01 July 1988 in New Delhi. At starting days she was not interested much more in her singing career. She earned her Bachelor’s in Journalism from Vivekanand Institute of Professional Studies, Delhi. She was a Delhi-based Ad professional who turned into a singer.
Aastha Gill made her singing debut with the song Dhup Chik from the movie Fugly in 2014. Thereafter, She sang many back-to-back massive hit songs like Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai, Happy Happy, Kamaria, Proper Patola, Naagin, and DJ Waley Babu. She received huge popularity after singing Naagin and DJ Waley Babu with well-known rapper Badshah. Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai is also one of her popular songs.
Undoubtedly, she has a good voice. In an interview, she told about her singing success ” Main toh chill chill mein gaana gaati thi, aur pata hi nahi chala mazak mazak mein kaha pahonch gayi. In an interview with Hindustan Times, she says “I always wanted to be a singer, but I guess I wasn’t ready to accept that fact. As it happens, I was happy that I was getting a salary at the end of every month, and I was like, ‘I don’t know how the industry is. What will happen if I don’t make it as a singer?’ My father is also a music director, so I had seen him struggle. So, I was not sure.”
Before getting her first break in 2014, she recalled the call that changed her whole life. She said, “Once I was singing a song in her college fest, where Punjabi rapper Raftaar was coming as a judge for that event. After this, when I was working in Delhi’s ad agency, then one day I got a call from Raftaar Bhai, who said he wanted me to sing for a Bollywood film. He didn’t tell me which film it would be. I wasn’t even sure if the song would actually be used, but I took the risk.”
She has done many shows and events in different cities in India and abroad.
In 2021, Aastha Gill participated in a stunt-based adventurous reality TV series Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi season 11, where she competed against other participants like Saurabh Raj Jain, Arjun Bijlani, Divyanka Tripathi, Shweta Tiwari, and many others.
