Palak Muchhal is a famous Indian singer mainly known for singing songs in Bollywood movies. She was born on 30 March 1992 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Palak has been passionate about singing since childhood. She completed her early education at Queens College Indore as well as did singing rehearsals.

Muchhal became a member of Kalyanji Anandji’s young singers group Little Star at the age of 4. During the Kargil War in 1999, at the age of just 7, Palak collected a sum of ₹25000 for the families of soldiers killed in the war by singing in the shops of her hometown for a week. Lokesh’s father was a shoe shop owner who could not afford his son’s heart surgery. In March 2000, Muchhal and her parents gave their consent for the show and collected ₹51000 through a stage show. Palak Muchhal’s show gained publicity, due to which Bangalore-based cardiologist Devi Prasad Shetty offered to do Lokesh’s heart operation free of cost.

Muchhal’s parents then placed advertisements in local newspapers to encourage donations for heart surgery treatment for more children like Lokesh, creating a list of 33 children who needed heart surgery. In the same year, Palak Muchhal organized a series of charity shows, raising ₹225,000 to help those children.

The money raised from the show was used for heart surgeries for five children in Bangalore and Bhandari Hospital, Indore. Seeing these efforts of Muchhal to save the lives of children at no cost, T Choithram Hospital of Indore reduced the cost of surgery from ₹80000 to ₹40000.

Dheeraj Gandhi, a surgeon at the same hospital, decided to waive his fees for all the cases brought by Muchhal. After 2000, Palak Muchhal traveled extensively in India and abroad for her charity shows. The name of her journey was ‘Dil Se Dil Tak’ in Hindi and ‘Save Little Hearts’ in English. In this charity show of Palak, her brother Palash Muchhal also performed his art to raise funds.

Muchhal used to sing an average of 40 songs in each of her shows, which included Bollywood songs, ghazals, and bhajans. In 2001, she raised around ₹10 lakh for the Gujarat earthquake victims. In July 2003, Muchhal offered financial assistance to the parents of a two-year-old Pakistani girl through her charity fund.

Palak Muchhal has also opened a charity organization named “Palak Muchhal Heart Foundation” to do this noble work. Till 2006, with the help of this organization, she has provided financial assistance in the heart surgery treatment of more than 200 children.
