Chandan Prabhakar is an Indian standup comedian who’s currently seen on The Kapil Sharma Show. He was born on 13 August 1981 in Amritsar, Punjab and he completed his childhood to intermediate school education in Amritsar. He also completed his B.Tech in Amritsar, after which he wanted to pursue a career in acting.
Due to his interest in acting, he turned to Mumbai and soon got a chance to work on a TV show. He participated in season 3 of the show The Great India Laughter Challenge telecasted on Star One channel in 2007, where his childhood friend Kapil Sharma gave a tough fight in the show.
However, Chandan did not win the show and he was the first runner-up of the show. Chandan soon got a break in films after this. He made his debut in 2010 in the Hindi film Bhavnao Ko Samjho. His work in that film was appreciated by the people.
Then Chandan played the role of a lineman in the Punjabi film Power Cut released in 2011. Chandan got real recognition when he played the best role in Colors TV show Comedy Nights With Kapil in various characters, the show broke all the TV ratings i.e. TRP records given in the TV field at that time.
