Dipika Chikhlia Topiwala is an Indian actress best known for her portrayal of ‘Maa Sita’ in Ramanand Sagar’s 1987 mythological television series ‘Ramayana’. She was born on 29 April 1965 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Dipika’s childhood was spent in Mumbai and she got her education from there.
Chikhlia earned her BA degree from Bombay University (now the University of Mumbai). Dipika has been fond of acting since her school days. She started her acting career at the age of 14 as a child actress. She made her debut in acting in 1980 with the telecasted serial Rishte-Naate. After that, she made her Bollywood debut as an actress in the Bollywood film Sun Meri Laila (1983).
The film was a blockbuster at the box office, giving him a new identity in the industry. After this Dipika Chikhlia Topiwala worked in movies like Patthar (1985), Cheekh (1986), Vikram Betal (1986), Bhagwan Dada (1986), Ghar Sansar (1986), and the Malayalam movie Ithile Iniyum Varu in 1986.
